Yosemite National Park in Winter.
You can visit Yosemite national park in any season.....it is beautiful year around. But my best visits have been in winter and spring. Here's why
Winter Wonderland
Yosemite is magical in winter. The rough looking giant mountains are softened by the fluffy white snow. The trees are still green and you have perfect combination of white ground, green trees and snow mountains.
Quite Solitude
Yosemite is crowded any time of the year. But in winter you can find lesser crowd as compared to spring and summer. The park is huge and you can easily find a quite spot for yourself and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and gaze at the beautiful granite mountains.
Chance to see Frazil Ice and Firefalls
Frazil Ice is slush that forms on the surface of a river/creek when mist freezes then floats down the creek. It is cool to look at and in Yosemite there is high chance of seeing it in winter.
We missed seeing Firefalls this year but it is a spectacular phenomena that happens every February in the park.

Waterfalls
In early winter water levels can be low but in Jan and Feb snow starts melting and Yosemite Falls begins to flow again.
Spooky environment
Yosemite can be Disney style magical or horror movie spooky at the same time. Snow fog creates a eerie feel and people coming out of fog sometimes look like the White Walkers......maybe its just my imagination!!!
