-Crater Lake National Park: Best time to visit-

Have you seen a lake so blue and so deep? Probably not. Crater Lake is arguably one of the bluest lakes and one of the deepest in the world .

The most popular months to visit Crater Lake are July, August, and September. That's when the park's roads, trails, and facilties tend to be fully open. But I feel that May is the best month to visit the park. That is when winter transitions into spring and weather is warmer. The park is still blanketed by a lovely layer of snow, the blue lake looks spectacular with the contract white and there are few people around so you can enjoy the park in peace.

The Rim Road around the lake might be closed so you won't get to drive around the lake. But there are still many activities to do like snowshoe hike, crosscountry ski, snowtubing, etc.

Crater Lake is located in the Southern part of Oregon. Medford, Oregon is the nearest city/airport and is 75 miles away from the park. You can also drive down from Portland (250 miles away) or from San Francisco (400 miles away). The drive from either city is beautiful.
